ESSIM B.V., based in the Netherlands and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 67409741, is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy policy.

What data do we process?

When you place an order, we process:

  • First and last name
  • Address details
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number (if provided)
  • Payment details (processed by our payment provider)
  • IP address

In addition, we process:

  • Name and e-mail address when you sign up for our newsletter or request a discount code
  • Data about your use of our website and advertisements, collected via cookies and pixels

Why do we process this data?

  • To process and deliver your order
  • To keep you informed about the status of your order
  • To send you newsletters and offers, with your consent
  • To measure and optimise our advertising, for example via the TikTok pixel, based on your consent
  • To secure and improve our web shop
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as tax legislation

On what legal grounds?

We process your data on the basis of the performance of our contract (your order), legal obligations (accounting and tax), your consent (newsletter, marketing and tracking cookies) and our legitimate interest (securing and improving the web shop).

How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary. We keep order data for 7 years because of the statutory retention period for the Dutch tax authorities. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Sharing with third parties

We only share your data where necessary, such as with carriers, our payment provider, our e-mail platform and advertising and analytics platforms such as TikTok. Some of these parties process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. We never sell your data.

Cookies

Our web shop uses functional, analytical and marketing cookies. Functional cookies are necessary for the web shop to work. We use analytical cookies to analyse and improve usage. We use marketing cookies and pixels, such as the TikTok pixel, to measure and display advertisements. We ask for your consent for analytical and marketing cookies via our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. You also have the right to data portability, the right to object to processing and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, send an e-mail to help@essim.nl.

Do you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data? You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
